How Sovra Works

How is your account protected?

How is your account protected?

Two separate layers protect you. Self-custody protects the ownership of your money. Device security protects access to your account. This entry covers the second layer, day to day.

What happens if I lose my phone, step by step?

Your money is safe, because it is not stored on the phone. It lives on the blockchain.

1. Install Sovra on your new device. 2. Sign in with your phone number. 3. Complete recovery with the help of a second factor of authentication (TOTP, a passkey on an existing device, or your PIN), or our support team, who will verify it is really you before access is restored.

What do I need to keep safe, and what happens if I lose it?

Keep control of the phone number tied to your account and your recovery details, and never share your PIN with anyone.

How do I recognize scams?

One rule covers most of it: Sovra never asks for your PIN or recovery details by email, text, phone, or chat. No Sovra employee ever needs them. Anyone asking for them is a scammer, no matter how convincing the message looks.
